Performances at the Metropolitan Opera House of NYC
Do I have a bargain for you!  The Metropolitan Opera House of NYC is offering all opera fans a chance to attend the Metropolitan Opera for FREE.  Read all about it!:  "In March, the Metropolitan Opera announced its plans to stream encore performances of some of its most famed shows to the public — and it’s all completely free.  'A day after canceling upcoming performances due to concerns around the coronavirus, the Metropolitan Opera announced that it would stream encore presentations from the award-winning Live in HD series of cinema transmissions on the company website for the duration of the closure,' the opera said in a statement. 'We’d like to provide some grand opera solace to opera lovers in these extraordinarily difficult times,' Met General Manager Peter Gelb shared in the statement. 'Every night, we’ll be offering a different complete operatic gem from our collection of HD presentations from the past 14 years.' The 'Nightly Met Opera Streams' begin at 7:30 p.m. each night on the Met's homepage and will remain available for 20 hours. The performance will also be available on the Met Opera’s On-Demand apps." - www.travelandleisure.com
